Key Account Sales Manager

Position Overview

 

The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for directing and managing all sales, business development and operations as related to key accounts in the wholesale channel. The Key Account Sales Manager will support long-term business strategies and foster collaboration among the El Arroyo leadership team. The Key Account Sales Manager should have prior experience in driving growth for retail brands, and is confident in meeting or exceeding all annual financial goals for the key account business unit. Our ideal candidate is an exemplary team leader who thinks both creatively and strategically, and has a positive, can-do attitude. The Key Account Sales Manager understands the market and consumers well, possesses an unwavering passion for top-notch customer service, and seeks to grow within our fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of our team, helping to set and execute both short and long-term goals
  • Demonstrate an intimate understanding of El Arroyo’s products, customer base, mission, and philosophy
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive wholesale key account roadmap for the year and beyond that aligns with the overall company strategy and our aggressive growth plans
  • Drive sales across all wholesale key accounts ensuring that each account is cultivated to its highest potential
  • Aggressively and creatively search, find and open new retail key account business opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profitability goals
  • Identify and develop new and innovative opportunities to elevate and grow the wholesale key account distribution of El Arroyo
  • Provide key input as the voice of the wholesale key account customer, with regard to assortment planning, marketing plans and sales tools
  • Build strong relationships and strategic partnerships with existing wholesale key account customers to deliver accelerated growth
  • Coordinate, set up and attend seasonal market and trade shows
  • Travel to stores to meet with key buyers and host publicity events
  • Oversee and execute El Arroyo’s day-to-day wholesale key account business needs, such as supporting product launches and ensuring wholesale fulfillment is timely and efficient
  • Continuously brainstorm novel ways to create a wholesale key account experience that truly wow’s the customer

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • 4-year degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in sales or buying in the gift industry
  • Friendly, energetic and personable demeanor with a customer-first mentality
  • 5+ years prior wholesale sales experience required
  • Proven track record achieving business results
  • Business acumen and analytical skills (sales analytics, business strategy, knowledge of market)
  • Continuous analysis and development of understanding of customer behaviors, trends, and preferences in order to adjust processes and standards accordingly
  • Savvy with inventory management systems, Excel, and other programs used to track, manage, and process orders, product returns, and inventory assessment (experience with Shopify preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of product features and general industry terms
  • Must work well under pressure to meet deadlines & expectations

Inside Sales Representative

Position Overview

We are looking for a full-time in-house sales representative to join our team and focus on selling our brand to new retailers, as well as maintain relationships/sales with current retailers. You must have experience in the wholesale gift product or apparel business and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ year experience in wholesale sales/showroom with strong account management experience
  • Savvy with inventory management systems, Excel, and other programs used to track, manage, and process orders, product returns, and inventory assessment (experience with Shopify preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of product features and general industry terms
  • Must work well under pressure to meet deadlines & expectations
